Volunteer in Madagascar
We are looking for volunteers, whether or not you have medical qualifications or are a medical or pre-med student.
We also looking for volunteers who feel that they might be able help at our school - as otherwise there is no-one else to assist!
We need you ... if you think you can spend two or more weeks with us - roughing it in a remote rural African village and want to make a difference to the people in Madagascar
For more information please email us at info @ madaclinics .org (no spaces)

We operate a healthcare clinic in a rural village in Madagascar where volunteers can work alongide our Nurse.
Maventibao is our main clinic and our nurses also operate 'on-foot' mobile clinics to visit nearby villages.
We see a variety of tropical diseases, such as malaria, bilhazia, fungal skin disease; as well as sexually transmitted infections.
The clinic also operates as a contraception and birthing centre - giving more choice to females.
We run a primary school in Maventibao employing a full time local teacher, where our volunteers can help.
There are very few rural schools in Madagascar and without this school the children would receive no formal education.
Madagascar has recognised the importance of teaching children English - as it is now the official 3rd language.
However, especially in the rural schools, they do not have teachers who speak any English, and we need volunters to help.
Our village of Maventibao is located on the edge of Ankarana National Reserve - one of the most important parks in the North.
Ankarana is noted for its Tsingy and Sanford Lemurs and volunteers can easily arrange to visit this reserve.
We also have started a Farming Project in our village where the villagers are learning to grow a variety of vegetables to supplement their diet.
We are also involved in education to reduce de-forestation.
